where is the best italian restaurant to eat period?

Thats a tough question. I dont think anyone can tell you "best" since everyone seems to have a different opinion on italian. My wife and I enjoy Adolfos downtown. Its reasonably priced and the chef takes special requests which is unusual. I like Diavolo everything which they dont have on the menu and he makes something diavolo for me everytime.

Tuti Gustos, Faustos are on the upscale side. Both get good reviews from the locals. Angelos also gets a nod.

beach-bum: I went to Adolfo's a couple of years ago and I did not like it at all. My family were the first one in and my mother ordered lasagna and the chef came out and said they ran out 10 minutes after they opened.
