Everything pretty much dies down after Sunfest a the end of September. This year Sunfest is Thursday 9/20/07 - Sunday 9/23/07.

Theres no real answer to this question though. Everyone closes up when the people stop coming. You'll still find plenty of things to do on the weekends up through October. Most stuff on the boardwalk will be closed though, along with the rides.
