Your question cut off, it could have gone several ways, here are 3 of my predictions.

1) you were wondering if the shops and stuff are still open ??? Yes, of course. People do live here year round.

2) you were wondering if the shops and stuff are expensive ??? They are the same as anywhere else really.

3) you were wondering if the shops and stuff are the coolest ??? Well of course, everything is cooler at the beach.
